The event, held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, showcased a diverse group of inductees, including football players, track stars, and lacrosse All-Americans. However, one name stood out among the rest: Crystal Dunn, a soccer sensation and recent Olympic gold medalist.

Crystal Dunn, hailing from Rockville Centre, has made a name for herself as one of Long Island’s greatest soccer players. Just weeks after clinching an Olympic gold medal with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Dunn took the stage to reflect on her incredible journey. "Walking away with a gold medal is special. Not many people can say they are a gold medalist," she remarked, her pride evident as she spoke about her latest achievement.
Dunn’s accolades extend far beyond the Olympics. She was a college All-American at the University of North Carolina, where she honed her skills and laid the foundation for a stellar professional career. "I would tell this young woman that you do not know what’s coming. There is a lot more soccer left in that little body. If you go out there and give your absolute best, then who knows what can happen," she advised, embodying the encouragement and wisdom that comes with experience.
